When it comes to think about starry nights my memories are somehow linked to far away: in space or in time.
I can recall in my mind those beautiful night skies in Namibia, in Thailand, in Okinawa, etc that I had the chance to admire during my journeys;
nostalgia comes when I think that I could spot constellations with my family and friends, as a child.
The common sensation was this complete awe in front of this immensity.
If you think about it all natural lighting phenomena are able to excite you, overwhelm you with emotions.
Last week’s Going Dark workshop was about the awareness that, even more so as lighting designers, we HAVE to fight lighting pollution.
Thank you to everyone I met, you were the real stars of this workshop!
Special thanks to Light Collective and Studio Traverso Vighy for organizing all of this!
